ETFWise (“the App”) is a free iOS application that provides daily ETF recommendations with live market data and on-device AI analysis. Your privacy is fundamental to how we built this app. Here’s exactly how your information is handled.

The only data sent externally is ETF ticker symbols to fetch market data. Your Finnhub API key is stored securely on-device and sent only to Finnhub.
What Data We Collect
None. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers. ETFWise has no user accounts, no usage analytics, and no advertising or tracking frameworks.
What Stays on Your Device
All app data is stored locally on your device:
- Daily ETF recommendations and cached market prices
- News sentiment scores and AI-generated analysis
- Your Finnhub API key (stored securely in on-device storage)
- The downloaded AI model file
This data is refreshed daily and is never uploaded to external servers.
Third-Party Services
ETFWise connects to financial data providers solely to fetch market data for display. The only information sent is ETF ticker symbols and date ranges. No personal data, device identifiers, or location information is transmitted.

On-Device AI Processing
The AI model runs entirely on your device. All inference, including bull cases, risk cases, and fund descriptions, happens locally. No prompts, inputs, or outputs are sent to any external server for AI processing.
API Key Security
If you enter a Finnhub API key, it is stored securely on your device and transmitted only to Finnhub’s API for authentication. It is never sent anywhere else or shared with any other party.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. We have no data-sharing agreements, no advertising partners, and no analytics providers.
Permissions
ETFWise does not request access to your camera, location, contacts, microphone, health data, photos, or App Tracking Transparency. No special permissions are required to use the app.
Data Retention and Deletion
Since we collect no personal data on our servers, there is nothing to retain or delete on our end. All locally stored data, including recommendations, cached prices, AI analysis, and your API key, is permanently removed when you delete the app from your device.
Your Rights
Because ETFWise does not collect or store personal data on any server, there is no personal data to access, correct, export, or delete from our systems. You maintain full control over all locally stored data by managing or removing the app on your device.
Children’s Privacy
ETFWise does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because the app collects no personal data whatsoever, it complies with COPPA requirements.
International Users
Because ETFWise collects no personal data, no cross-border transfer of personal information occurs. Ticker symbol requests to financial data providers contain no personal data or device identifiers regardless of your location.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
